How to use Information Provision – a Behavioral Economics Strategy

Information provision

A short and easy, e.g., to use behavioral science => Information provision.

Sometimes it’s just about providing the information to help people change their behavior. It’s one of the tools that we use in Behavioral Science.

In some cases, it can motivate people to act if:
1) the benefits are clear, and the individual can calculate them without effort;
2) the time is right (decide on the spot) and
3) the process is easy (you have to say YES and sign).

Are you frustrated that people don’t do something you think is essential? Try this method.

Behavioral Science Tip

State the benefit (or what they might lose) + help them decide with clear and concise information + make the process easy for them.
